Can you repair an Apple product yourself? Currently, you’re not able to repair Apple products yourself. In 2022 Apple is releasing the Self Service Repair program that will allow you to repair certain Apple products yourself.

The upcoming program will allow customers who are comfortable repairing products to do so through a series of guided tutorials. The program will provide customers with genuine Apple tools, parts, and manuals to complete the repairs. The program is set to launch in 2022 and will expand to additional countries throughout the year.
Only a few Apple products will be eligible for repair through the Self Service Repair program. These include:
- iPhone 12
- iPhone 13
- M1 Macs (Coming later in the year)
In the beginning, the program will allow repairs on screens, batteries, and cameras. In the future, it will expand to additional repairs as well.
